2 Year Old Health Checks

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requires that parents and carers must be supplied with a short written summary of their child‟s development in the three prime learning and development areas of the EYFS: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Physical Development; and Communication and Language; when the child is aged between 24-36 months.

Your child's early education setting, with your consent will telephone your named health visitor with an update of your child's progress.

Literature on the 2 year old checks can be found in the welcome pack along with a consent form. If you have any questions, please speak with the office.

Local Schools and Providers

We are extremely proud of our strong working relationship with local schools and early year providers, particularly Shadwell Primary School.  Working with other providers ensures that we continue to review practice and share ideas. Our partnership with locals schools allows children an easy transition in to reception class and 'big school'. The partnership with Shadwell School allows all of our pre school children to experience school through Gingerbread afternoons where we play in class, meet teachers and experience 'big school'.  We use the school hall for our productions, play in the school grounds and eat school lunches. Recently we were invited to join school for Fair Trade Breakfast where we sat in the school hall and were part of the noise and activity of a school day. Such experiences are invaluable and give our children confidence and security for when they move to their next stage of learning.
