Shadwell Childcare Staff & Training

We offer a truly happy and friendly environment which is driven from the passion of  our highly experienced, extremely well-qualified and long serving staff team. We recognise that staff are fundamental in any childcare setting and we are extremely proud of our staff retention allowing us to operate a unique setting where families are welcomed back over many years and our main advertisement is word of mouth.

There is really no better recommendation than a recommendation from another parent!

All of our staff are qualified to a minimum of  level 3 through to Early Years Professional Status. We also work with a phonics and maths teacher and alongside an Early Years Consultant to ensure depth and breadth of knowledge within our setting. Our dedicated and experienced Room Leaders work closely with our SENCo to ensure that we meet every child's individual needs. Together they support staff, plan according to individual interests and moderate children's progress to deliver the best setting possible.  The safety and well-being of all children is paramount and ALL nursery staff are paediatric first aid trained, proficient in health and safety and have food hygiene qualifications as a minimum.

We are extremely lucky to be lead by four trustees who all have a vast range of experiences within childcare. We are supported by our Chair who is is a Safeguarding Training, Support, Investigation expert alongside a Primary Consultant in Learning Improvement, a retired teacher with experience in Special Education Needs and a retired executive Deputy Head with a specialism in early years and SEND.  Their knowledge and passion for providing the best possible opportunities for children is simply invaluable.

……we are really happy and L seems to love the time he spends with you. He is constantly coming home and extending the activities he has done during the day and copying staff’s behaviour with his little brother to show him how to be a big boy! Thank you all for your help and care.

Students feedback following their Work Experience with us

I am writing on behalf of our School to thank you for your support in providing our Year 10 pupils with a week of work experience at your business.

Work experience is an extremely valuable opportunity for our pupils. It allows them to develop a clearer understanding of working life, build essential workplace skills, and explore potential career paths for their future. Opportunities like this can have a lasting impact on their confidence, motivation, and aspirations.

Placements such as the one you kindly provided would not be possible without the generosity of local businesses. By giving your time and offering this experience, you have enabled our pupil to gain meaningful, real-world insight that simply cannot be replicated in the classroom. They returned to school with very positive feedback and a renewed determination to succeed next year. During our Work Experience assembly, students also shared stories about their placements, highlighting the value of their time with you.

Thank you once again for your support and for helping to make our work experience programme such a success.
